Dr. Hillary Emmanuel Musoke Kisanja, a senior presidential advisor on agribusiness, has predicted that President Yoweri Museveni will win a landslide victory in Uganda’s upcoming 2026 general elections. Kisanja spoke at a Museveni rally in Entebbe Municipality on Monday, emphasizing the government’s development achievements as a key reason voters will support the president.
Kisanja highlighted infrastructure improvements, including roads and airport expansions, as well as the benefits of the Parish Development Model. He projected that Museveni could secure at least 80 percent of the vote.
Urging Ugandans to avoid supporting the opposition, Kisanja framed the elections as a strategic choice rather than a “football game,” warning against “amateurs” and foreign influence. He stressed that voting for Museveni ensures continued access to government agribusiness and value-addition programmes, which his office will oversee.
Kisanja’s comments underline the NRM’s campaign strategy of linking government development projects directly to voter support, framing Museveni’s leadership as essential for national stability and progress.
This statement comes amid a highly competitive political environment ahead of the 2026 polls, with opposition figures campaigning across various regions.
