Every year, Watoto Church in Uganda transforms the city into a stage for its Christmas Cantata, a celebration of hope, joy, and the spirit of giving. The event creatively tells the story of Christ’s birth, following the journey from darkness to light. Angels announce peace, shepherds spread the news, and wise men travel from afar to witness the arrival of hope.
This year, the church partnered with the Uganda Police, Safeboda, and Karis Medical to set up the tallest Christmas display in the city, bringing together community, faith, and festive cheer. The Cantata is not just a performance—it is a reminder that Christmas is about connection, reflection, and spreading goodwill.
Through music, storytelling, and visual displays, the Cantata turns the urban environment into a place of wonder, inspiring both children and adults to embrace the message of peace, hope, and unity during the holiday season.
In a city that often moves quickly and quietly, the Cantata allows residents to pause, celebrate, and remember the meaning of Christmas: bringing light into darkness and hope into every heart.
