Former Miss Uganda Hannah Karema Denies Child Trafficking Allegations, Threatens Legal Action

Hannah Karema, former Miss Uganda 2023/2024, has strongly denied allegations linking her to child trafficking, calling the claims “false, baseless, and deeply hurtful.”

The accusations emerged online following an interview conducted by YouTuber Allan Cruz, in which a woman claimed to have evidence connecting Karema to an illegal operation allegedly trafficking young girls abroad.

The woman presented a phone contact registered under Karema’s name, featuring her profile picture, as proof of her alleged involvement.

In a public statement, Karema categorically rejected the allegations and confirmed that she has retained legal counsel to pursue action against those spreading the defamatory information. She emphasized that the claims do not reflect her values or the work she performed during her tenure as Miss Uganda.

“I have seen the false allegations circulating online, and I want to address them directly. I categorically and unequivocally deny all the claims being made against me,” Karema said.

The former beauty queen stressed that the matter is being handled through proper legal channels and expressed her willingness to address the allegations publicly on a credible platform, where facts—not rumors—can be discussed fairly.

Karema’s statement reflects her commitment to transparency and her determination to protect her reputation while holding accountable those responsible for spreading misinformation.
