Uganda Grants Visa-Free Entry to 40 Countries, Excludes US and EU Nationals

Kampala, Uganda – Uganda has announced visa-free entry for nationals of 40 countries as part of efforts to boost tourism and business travel.

The move allows citizens from the selected countries to enter Uganda without obtaining a visa prior to travel, streamlining arrivals and promoting cross-border mobility.

However, the United States and European Union member states are excluded from this visa-free policy, meaning travelers from these regions must continue to obtain visas before entry.

Uganda’s government says the initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance the country’s competitiveness as a tourism and investment destination while simplifying entry procedures for key partner nations.

Officials have indicated that additional information regarding eligible countries and travel conditions will be published on the Uganda Immigration website.
