Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni called UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on March 3, 2026, to express Uganda’s support following recent Iranian attacks targeting the UAE.
During the phone call, President Museveni reaffirmed Uganda’s solidarity with the UAE, emphasizing concern for the country’s sovereignty, security, and the safety of its people. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed thanked Uganda for its supportive stance.
Both leaders stressed the importance of halting the regional escalation and returning to dialogue and diplomacy to safeguard stability and security in the region.
This call comes amid growing international concern over tensions in the Middle East, as several countries have been reaching out to the UAE to express solidarity and urge a peaceful resolution.
