Uganda Airlines has called on lovebirds to think creatively and make their marriage proposals extra special by doing them in the sky rather than on the ground.
Speaking at Vision Group’s #BrideAndGroomExpo press conference, the airline’s Head of Marketing, Deo Nyanzi, encouraged Ugandans to take advantage of the national carrier for proposals, honeymoons, and even anniversaries.
“Why limit yourselves to proposing on the ground when you can do it on board? Imagine the joy of popping the question mid-air, with the entire plane cheering you on.
You can even celebrate anniversaries in different destinations with Uganda Airlines,” Nyanzi said.
He revealed that the airline is open to passengers making requests to use the plane’s speaker system to make the moment even more memorable.
Nyanzi added that while such in-flight proposals are already popular in other parts of the world, no one has yet tried it with Uganda Airlines — making it a fresh and exciting opportunity for couples.
He also emphasized that choosing Uganda Airlines for romantic moments does not only give couples unforgettable memories but also supports the national carrier as it continues to grow and promote Ugandan tourism.
The idea sparked excitement among attendees, with some saying it could inspire new trends in how Ugandans celebrate love and milestones.
