Tragic Loss: Ugandan Man Dies During Holiday Homecoming After Years Abroad”

The family of Patrick Kiwanuka, a Ugandan man who had been living in Boston, Massachusetts, is mourning his sudden and heartbreaking death. Kiwanuka had returned home to Uganda on November 9 for a two-month Christmas holiday, hoping to spend time resting and reconnecting with family, but his plans were tragically cut short.

According to medical reports, Patrick died from cardiac arrest linked to extreme fatigue, highlighting the hidden toll of years of hard work and long-term stress.

In 2023, Patrick had relocated his young daughters to the United States in search of a brighter future for them, demonstrating his devotion as a father and provider. Family members and friends both in Uganda and the U.S. remember him for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering support to those around him.

Patrick’s mother, Justine Nalubwama, shared the devastating news on Facebook, posting:

“The death occurred today, November 20, 2025, at Doctors Hospital Sseguku, Uganda. Patrick traveled to Uganda on November 9 for vacation, but unfortunately died suddenly.”
