President Museveni Promises Better Roads and Services in Lwengo Campaign

President Yoweri Museveni has promised to improve infrastructure in Lwengo District as he continues his campaign ahead of the 2026 general elections. Speaking to residents during a campaign stop, Museveni said his government is committed to boosting development in the area through better roads and public services.

He told voters that infrastructure plays a key role in improving people’s lives, supporting trade, and growing the local economy. According to the President, areas with good roads and services attract investment and make it easier for farmers and traders to access markets.

Museveni urged residents of Lwengo to support his leadership, saying his government has experience in delivering development projects across the country. He also warned voters against electing opposition leaders, claiming that doing so could slow down development and delay government programmes in the district.

The campaign event in Lwengo is part of Museveni’s wider tour of the Buganda region, where he is seeking to strengthen support for his leadership ahead of the 2026 elections. His message focused on stability, continuity, and development, with infrastructure presented as a top priority.

The event was covered by New Vision TV as part of its ongoing political coverage, analysing key moments and promises made by leaders during the campaign period.
