England Set to Host Biggest Celebration of Women’s Rugby with Fan Zones Across the Nation for Rugby World Cup 2025

With just one month to go before the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 begins, England is getting ready to welcome the world with a series of free Fan Zones across the country. These special zones will bring together fans, families, and communities to celebrate the tournament and enjoy the thrill of rugby, whether or not they’re inside the stadium.

Fan Zones are public spaces where fans can gather to watch live match screenings, take part in fun activities, enjoy local food and music, and celebrate the tournament together. They will be open on match days and at other key times from 22 August to 27 September 2025, during the six-week competition.

The main Fan Zone will be located at the iconic Battersea Power Station in London, running from 13–27 September. Partnering with Ocean Outdoor, this riverside spot will feature:

Live screenings of matches
DJ sets
T1 rugby coaching sessions
Food and drink stalls
Fun community rugby activities
Partner displays and activations

Sarah Massey, Managing Director of WRWC 2025, said:
“Whether you’ve followed rugby for years or are new to it, the Fan Zones will make everyone feel part of this special moment.”

London Mayor Sadiq Khan praised the tournament, calling it one of the biggest sporting events of the year. He added:

“I’ve declared London the global capital for women’s sport in 2025. Hosting the Women’s Rugby World Cup here is a huge part of that vision.”

Ocean Outdoor’s Vision
Kevin Henry from Ocean Outdoor said Battersea is the perfect spot to showcase women’s rugby and grow the game:

“We want to create an inspiring, inclusive fan experience that brings new people into the sport.”
