DUBAI, Sept 8, 2025 – Dubai has been ranked among the world’s top 10 cities for business travel, thanks to its strong connectivity, modern infrastructure, and luxury lifestyle offerings, according to a new global study.
The research, conducted by Capital on Tap, compared 77 major cities worldwide based on business travel factors such as Wi-Fi speed, hotel availability, dining costs, cultural attractions, and flight times from London.
Why Dubai Stands Out.
High Connectivity: With 23,607 free Wi-Fi hotspots and internet speeds averaging 265.5 Mbps, Dubai is one of the world’s most digitally connected cities.
World-Class Accommodation: The emirate offers over 580 hotels, giving business travellers a wide range of premium options.
Lifestyle and Dining: Although meals (£60 for two) and wine (£12) are relatively costly, Dubai’s restaurants, leisure venues, and cultural experiences add to its appeal.
Strategic Location: Just a 7-hour flight from London, Dubai is perfectly placed for executives travelling between Europe, Asia, and Africa.
This mix of convenience, luxury, and global access makes Dubai a preferred destination for corporate meetings, international conferences, and networking events.
Luxembourg City topped the list, praised for its dense hotel network, cultural attractions, and short flights from London.
Amsterdam ranked second, offering fast Wi-Fi and nearly 300 landmarks.
Prague came third, known for its affordability, with meals and drinks much cheaper than Dubai.
Growing Business Travel Sector
The global business travel industry is bouncing back strongly. Spending is expected to reach £1.56 trillion by 2028, as more companies return to in-person meetings to build partnerships and close deals.
Alex Miles, COO of Capital on Tap, said Dubai’s ranking confirms its role as a global hub:
“For business leaders, Dubai offers the right balance between productivity and lifestyle. It is an ideal base for meetings, networking, and expanding into international markets.”
Beyond business travel, Dubai continues to strengthen its position as a global financial and innovation hub. Recent recognitions include:
Ranking as the top luxury lifestyle city in the Middle East.
Hosting record-breaking conferences and exhibitions at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Expanding air connectivity through Dubai International Airport (DXB), which handled more than 86 million passengers in 2024.
With its mix of technology, infrastructure, and lifestyle, Dubai is proving to be more than just a travel destination—it is a gateway for global business.
