Uganda Airlines has temporarily suspended its scheduled flights between Entebbe International Airport (EBB) and Dubai International Airport (DXB) following a closure of airspace affecting the route.
In a statement issued on February 28, 2026, the national carrier announced that the suspension takes immediate effect and will remain in place until the airspace reopens and safe operations can resume.
The airline said the decision was made in the interest of passenger and crew safety and in compliance with aviation regulations.
The Entebbe–Dubai route is a key international link for business, tourism, and cargo services between Uganda and the United Arab Emirates. The suspension is expected to disrupt travel plans for passengers booked on upcoming flights.
Uganda Airlines has assured affected travelers of support measures, including:
Re-accommodation on alternative airlines where possible
Free rebooking on future Uganda Airlines flights once services resume
Flexible date changes without penalties
The airline is contacting affected passengers directly via phone and email with updated travel arrangements. Customers who booked through travel agents have been advised to seek assistance from their respective agents.
Passengers scheduled to travel on the route are urged to confirm their flight status before heading to the airport by checking the airline’s official website or contacting its call center.
Uganda Airlines said it will continue to provide updates through its official communication channels as the situation develops.
