Ugandan Chief Justice Arrested

Last week, Lydia Mugambe, a Ugandan Chief Justice was arrested in London for enslaving a maid. Lydia Mugambe has served a United Nations judge. At the time of arrest, Mugambe was a doctoral candidate in law at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom.

Lydia Mugambe has been a helm where she was in a position to protect other people. Ms Mugambe’s journey to getting a PhD degree in law as cut short due to her “egregious way” toward a maid that was supposed to assist her at home.

The arrest on this Ugandan judge is going to be a hinderance in the advancement of her career.

What does this event tells us, too much power corrupts? Was it necessary or would all this bad pr have been avoided as it has closed so many potential for this judge?
